![]() No one else who worked at the cafe bothered to apologize. Her: Fine! *Stomps off to the counter, then screams* JESUS CHRIST! *and slams her serving tray on the counter* She eventually gave me my drink, without apology and continuing her cold manner. Her: Taste it (the drink she served me) and tell me it's not the same! Me: *sips latte* Her: Isn't it the same? Me: No, this is a latte. A macchiato is when the milk is poured in first and then the espresso. Her: How are they different? (almost yelling at this point) Me (a former barista): A latte is when the espresso is poured in first and then the milk. Her: It's the same! It's just espresso and milk! (Which obviously isn't the case if you have ever ordered an espresso drink!) Me: No they're not the same. Me: No, I would just like to have the drink I ordered. Her: What do you want me to do? Pour it in a different glass? (My came in a mug, while my friend's came in a glass, which was how we first realized I had the wrong drink). Me: I'm sorry, but I ordered a macchiato, not a latte. Here is a general outline of how our dialogue went: Me: Excuse me, this is a decaf macchiato with soy milk, correct? Her: No, this is a decaf latte with soy. ![]() The waitress we had gave me the wrong drink and was very rude to me in response. We ordered our drinks and food - I got a decaf macchiato with soy milk and another friend got a plain macchiato. My friends and I went in on Saturday (3/25/17) to take a little break from the cold, rainy weather. I was looking forward to going to this cafe based on a review from a coworker of mine, but was VERY disappointed by the customer service.
